And doing it without so much as batting a racist eyelash. Beyond that I was enjoying the first half of the book for the most part up until an annoyingly long section in which the main character forgot who he was and believed he was actually an inhabitant of the past because I loved the time tr Time Traders: For the first time in my life, I knew I could read and comprehend. That is one of the dangers or drawbacks to describing any “super future” technology.

Jul 09, Sandi rated it really liked it Shelves: It holds up fairly well – there are few anachronisms introduced by the advance of technology since Norton wrote the sndre, but there are a few strange quirks of technology. They are simplistic, of course, but I am enjoying re-experiencing the adventures. The things that happen in the story make sense, and the story itself is very interesting.
However, it is the Russians of the new Russian Empire that was formed after the collapse of the Glactic Union. I guess it’s the first andge a series, and maybe at some point I’ll go and read the next one seeing as I have it already in this editionbut I was pretty good with how it ended. Good fun from Ms.

The home planet of the collapsed empire was fascinating. And Andre Norton is up to the task. I knew what they were, but the way they were described gave me a vision of some very old from my point of view headphones. Information from the German Common Knowledge. One of those stars is purely for nostalgia. This story has a bit of time travel but a large chunk is the group accidentally become stuck on a space voyage. When they get there,to their surprise, there is not only a wrecked ship, but also an intact ship. I walked past a table full of paperback books with no interest.
